I was eating lunch the other day with an aerobics instructor, and I was complaining about how my workouts have gotten boring, and I still work out an hour, but I just don’t feel like I’m working that hard anymore. She said, “Why not shorten your time, and work harder?”
Brilliant.
She is right. Working for a shorter amount of time can mean just as much, if I work harder in that time.
And she makes the point I so often make as a motivational speaker, but apparently needed reminding anyway: WORKING SMARTER BEATS WORKING HARDER.
Now I’m going to take a look at other areas of my life where I might be focusing on the harder part, instead of the smarter part.
What about you?
